How can
you make a difference ?
see details below
With the help of our supporters we have started a much needed
clinic - we believe in employing local Kenyans, where possible, and to date we have four staff working regularly. Joyce
is the qualified nurse, who stitches, pulls teeth and carries out all sorts of treatment. She has two other staff
helping her. One is Martin, a lab technician, and as there is no electricity he uses the microscope in sun light. Cecilia
takes care of the pharmacy.

A local team went to Kibung'a in March 2007 to open the clinic.
They collected the medicines at Meru, before travelling to the area. The locals heard that the clinic was being
set up and for the first 3 days they saw about 60 people per day, many walking from early morning to be treated.
We have recently added an extention to our building, and we have supplied the staff
with bicycles, in order that they can take the clinic mobile, to those who can't walk the distance.
